Names and Legends

As promised, the “Famous Names” page has been edited, and it now has names on it.

There is new information for some of the people that were on it before, and more names (along with a couple of organizations) have been added.

While nowhere near complete, this update means that all of the world information pages now have information.

I doubt whether I’ll get any more done before the weekend, but if I do, the update will be noted here.

More Information

As promised, the “About Volara” page has some “out of character” information about the world.

I mentioned it on that page, but I’ll also mention it here: if you have any questions about Volara, that is probably the best place to do so, as additional ideas/input could help make the world better, or at least make me as the DM consider alternate aspects of the world.

The new work week begins in under ten hours, so I don’t know how many updates will happen during the week.

Still, I hope to begin adding country information and to put the names back up over the next few days.

Some Information

In the last few hours I’ve added a bunch of stuff to the site.

First, everything on the “About Volara’s Creator” page is new, some of which even my regular gaming group may not know.

Second, I’ve imported all the history that was up on my personal site, along with some stuff that hadn’t previously been added. It’s also been edited in a number of areas, so even if you’ve read it before, it’s worth a look. That’s in “Damon’s History of the World.”

Third, I’ve brought the map over, and it’s full sized here. There’s also a breakdown of the various countries that make up this world and the continents they’re on. I haven’t gotten around to making any historical maps yet, but they may come some day. That information is in “Geography of a Flat World.”

Finally, the character creation page is up, but it’s mostly empty for now.

Tomorrow should see some basic information about the world itself (climate, cities, time, creatures, etc.) added to the “About Volara” section.

If you have any questions at any time, please ask, and I may even answer.

Notes on Volara: An RPG World

Volara is a role-playing world that I have been working on for the past few months. Much of the information that will be found here was up on my personal site, He’s Just So Stalkable, but I thought that it would make more sense if I put it up here.

Just so we’re clear, this blog is/will be devoted to a fictional world that maybe 5 people are ever likely to game in, though if you find your way here without being one of those, then you’re welcome to try it out if it seems interesting.

For the next few months, the only information that is placed on this site will be the kind of thing that almost any player would/could know about the world.

It should also be noted that this is all coming out of my head. There is, at this point, relatively little in terms of grand story arc or any of that, though there are a few secret thoughts running through my head.

I will also be posting a character creation page sometime, though it will be different from the one that I originally posted on my other site.
